Combat & Cut and Thrust Tourney

Current Baronial Champion Lord Bjorn has declared that the armored combat tourney will be bracketed, best 2/3, double elimination, and open weapon style.

 

Master Mikhail, previous C&T tourney winner, will communicate tourney style soon.

Arts and Sciences Competition

Competition in honor of Her Excellency Lelia Corsini. Theme of the competition is “good luck” in any medium, a reference to Her Excellency’s home of Florence.

 

Florence, or firenze, evolved from florēre, means “to blossom” and conveys prosperity and good luck.

Garb & Fabric Swap

Please bring any clothing you no longer need, fabric that you never decided what to do with, etc, to share in our garb & fabric swap. Coordinated by Countess Isadora.

Minstrel Meetup

Our harp/lyre/instrument group will be meeting to practice during the event. We will not be preforming, but welcome anyone who wanders over to chat about music!

Potluck Feast

Please bring your own feast gear and a dish to share. The picnic shelter has electrical outlets available for plugging in crockpots. If you’d like suggestions on what to bring, please use the suggestion going by the first letter of your SCA name:

A – G: Vegetables/Fruits, Breads, Cheeses
H – R: Main Entree, Meat, Protein
S – Z: Desserts

New to the SCA?

Found our website and thinking of sticking your toes in for your first event? Please come join us for Herdmaster! This event is newcomer friendly and completely free to attend.

 

Unlike our typical weekly meetings, this is a garb event- we will be in costume! All we ask is an attempt at pre-17th century clothing. If you feel like you don’t have anything appropriate, we have loaner garb available to wear. To coordinate garb to wear at the event, please contact our Gold Key officer at goldkey@magmor.calontir.org
