Unto the Populace of Our Fair Baronial Lands:
Let it be known to all nobles, gentles, artisans, and goodly folk that Their Excellencies Mag Mor do invite you to gather in fellowship and merriment at a joyful Baronial Revel.
On the 19th day of July, within the pleasant grounds of Van Dorn Park, we shall come together beneath both sun and shelter to celebrate the noble pursuits of our fair Barony. An enclosed pavilion, cooled by the comforts of modern convenience, shall be made available for respite from the summer’s warmth, ensuring ease for all who attend.
Of the Day’s Merriments
Beginning at the 1:00 hour, the populace shall assemble for greeting and settling of resting and activity places. Thereafter, the day shall unfold with contests of skill and demonstrations of artistry, that all may partake according to their interests.
Martial Displays
The field shall open with the Martial Contests, divided into two spirited competitions:
● Herd Master Tournament – Armored Combat, where strength and valor are
tested
● Cut & Thrust Championship – where precision and finesse hold sway
All are welcome to witness these contests, and fighters are encouraged to take the field
in honor and courtesy.
Baronial Arts & Sciences Championship Competition
As the afternoon advances, the shelter shall host the Baronial Arts & Sciences
Competition, where artisans of every discipline may display their works for admiration
and gentle judging. Theme is Flora and Fauna of the Americas.
Populace and newcomers alike are invited to stroll among the entries, converse with the
makers, and delight in the fruits of their labors.
Baronial Court
Their Excellencies shall hold Baronial Court within the cool comfort of the shelter,
where awards shall be bestowed, deeds recognized, and the virtues of the populace
celebrated.
A Feast of Fellowship
In the early evening, we shall gather for a potluck feast, shared in good company:
● Entrées shall be laid forth to sustain and refresh the gathered company
● Desserts and sweet delights shall be included to send all off in good humor
All are encouraged to bring a dish to share, mindful of the bounty and diversity of our
lands.
Of Comfort and Courtesy
This gathering is intended to be welcoming to families and children, with space
provided for play, learning, and quiet retreat. The air-conditioned shelter shall serve as a
place of comfort throughout the day, and all are encouraged to make use of it to remain
well and at ease in the summer heat.
Water and shade shall be provided, yet each gentle is reminded to tend to their own
comfort and well-being as they are able.

Come, then, and join us in camaraderie, competition, and celebration. Whether you
wield sword or needle, voice or verse, or simply wish to share in the joy of the day, your
presence shall be most welcome.
