Hello all!
Walt Library is hosting their Ren Faire again on Saturday December 5th from 11AM to 3PM, and they’ve invited us to to demo again!
I am looking for 6-8 volunteers to participate. We will be in the same space as last year (a computer room). As space is limited, I’d like us to focus on a more hands-on demo rather than displays. Last year’s demo demographic was a lot of families and younger kids, so activities that could be shared safely and cleanly would be best! If you are interested in volunteering, please let me know what activities you plan to bring and if there’s anything you need.
Same as last year, they will also be holding slots for presenters in the meeting rooms at the front of the library. If you’re interested in giving a presentation or a performance instead of helping at the demo tables, that would also be an option!
The library requests no weapons and no heavy armor. If you’re interested in bring something to share and are not sure if it would be acceptable, please reach out to me and I can check.
The library allows outside food and drink in, provided it’s in a sealed container with no risk of spilling. Last year they also purchased pizza. It hasn’t been confirmed yet, but I would assume they will be providing a lunch for volunteers again this year too.
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, please reach out at chatelaine@magmor.calontir.org! I will be bringing this to October 7th Moot for further discussion as well.
Laurencia
